Friends of Allsorts

Cartoony, lower-case writing reads "Friends" alongside a tilted love heart filled with the pride flag colours. Underneath and slightly to the right reads "of Allsorts" in plainer branded font

How do I become a Friend of Allsorts?

You can set up your regular donation here and tick the boxes ‘I would like to be a Friend of Allsorts’ and 'I am happy to be contacted by Allsorts'

And that’s it! We’ll be in touch with you at the start of next month to welcome you to the Friends of Allsorts community!

Who are the Friends of Allsorts?
The Friends of Allsorts are our incredible supporters and allies who help support our services us through their generous monthly donations.

Could I be a Friend of Allsorts?
Absolutely! If you would like to provide LGBT+ children and young people with safe spaces to be themselves, meet new people, get involved in a huge range of activities, and help build their self-confidence, from as little as £10 per month you can be a Friend of Allsorts!

Where is my money going?

  • £20 could provide an LGBT+ young person in Sussex with an online one-to-one support session.
  • £30 could supply food for one of our LGBT+ Youth Groups across Sussex.
  • £40 could provide our Parents/Carers Group with an online session.
  • £60 could support our hardship fund and provide travel expenses for up to 10 young people who would otherwise be unable to attend our services.

What are the perks of being a Friend of Allsorts?

  • It feels good to give! Whether it’s £10 or £50 a month, by supporting Allsorts you are ensuring vital support services, safer spaces and a platform for LGBT+ children and young people to have their voices heard.
  • Keep Connected! You will be the first to hear about our latest updates, news and highlights. Once every three months we’ll let you know how your money has supported LGBT+ children and young people across Sussex, so you can celebrate with us!
  • Get Together! You will receive an invitation to an annual Allsorts event, a fantastic opportunity to meet the team and socialise with other Friends of Allsorts!

Why Allsorts?
We are a small charity, with a huge impact. For almost 25 years, Allsorts has listened to, supported and connected LGBT+ children, young people and their families, and challenged exclusion, prejudice and discrimination in all areas of their lives.

75% of 51 LGBT+ young people surveyed by Allsorts in September 2023 said they had experienced some form of LGBTphobia in the past six months, with 94% experiencing mental health challenges. Your donations counter this by helping us provide opportunities to meet new people whilst participating in fun activities and workshops, to build confidence and resilience through one-to-one support, and so much more!

In the same survey, 96% of young people said that Allsorts groups had been of help to them, with 82% feeling better able to express their opinions and make their voices heard.

By becoming a Friend of Allsorts, you are becoming a vital part of this community, which strives to create a future in which all LGBT+ children and young people are free to be themselves.

Thank you!
