Information for Brighton Pride Attendees

What to expect on the day

Walking/Rolling

The parade route distance is between 2.5 and 3 miles, from Hove Lawns to Preston Park. It can often take up to three hours to complete, as the parade moves relatively slowly.

Comfort

  • There can be a lot of waiting around on the day. You will be out and about in crowds for approximately three hours.

  • Bear in mind you will also have to walk or roll to and from the starting and end points.

  • There are no designated toilets on the route.

  • If you need to leave the parade for some reason (even to use the toilet), you will not be able to rejoin us.  These are the Pride organiser's rules, not ours.

  • The city will be very busy, and the crowds could be noisy and overwhelming.

  • Please ensure your costume is suitable for our family-friendly walking/rolling group, comfortable to wear while moving, and takes into account variable weather conditions.

Due to the large number of people entering the city on the day and road closures;

  • Public transport will be very busy

  • Parking in the city will be restricted.

  • You may experience delays, which can make your travel time longer than usual please plan around this.
